The Render Network is a project which enables users to contribute their unused GPU power to help projects render visual effects and other graphic-intensive works. In return, they are rewarded the Render token, RNDR. As such, the Render Token crypto project aims to allow businesses and other users to tap into the vast potential of unused graphics cards by creating a peer-to-peer network. It is trying to establish itself as an essential part of the next generation of digital products, 3D and other visual effect rendering, and a pillar in the metaverse.
Instead of using the proof-of-work (PoW), or proof-of-stake (PoS), the Render Network utilises the proof-of-render (PoR) governance system built on the Ethereum blockchain. It is fairly similar to PoW, but instead of solving complex mathematical equations, PoR completes complex VFX or 3D services.
