Altcoins gain momentum while Fantom and dYdX gain more than 20%.

Can the cryptocurrency rally continue as it has in 2019?

As the crypto rally maintains its momentum in January, dYdX and Fantom lead the way with gains of more than 20%.

dYdX and Fantom continue their upward trend with gains of 30% each.

The rally is supported by macroeconomic tailwinds stemming from cooling US inflation data, as well as developments in the altcoin ecosystems: dYdX benefits from the postponement of a token unlock to December, while Fantom rises in anticipation of a series of upcoming upgrades. Polygon also rose 16% as reports of a huge increase in transactions made the rounds.

Bitcoin, meanwhile, posted gains for the third week in a row. The leading cryptoasset now reaches a five-month high of over USD 23,000 after Goldman Sachs declared that the cryptocurrency is the best performing asset so far this year.

@LongTerm performed a restructuring earlier today. There are major changes such as removing $AVAX as a risk management step due to its exposure to the Terra ecosystem, as well as removal of $ENJ, $FTM, and $SAND for the time being. $CRV, $AAVE, and $XMR have been added, as well as ramping up our $ETH position.

While we are navigating rocky waters due to the collapse of $LUNA / $UST, as well as larger macro economic pressures, @LongTerm remains bullish on $ETH and its ecosystem in the long run.

What is there to say? The market is going sideways so it is good to have crypto projects that generate passive income. With nice buying opportunities the last weeks and months have been a good time to use the cashflow to stack up on your favorite projects or if you play it a bit safer just to stack up your main positions like $BTC , $ETH or what ever you consider safe in the crypto universe. Further more some crypto sceptics kept asking me what I am going to do now that the crypto market goes sideways. Well exactly what I stated above. What most people miss, that you need not to be bullish on crypto to hold crypto. My question is, did they ever consider to generate cashflow which is possible in a big way at the time and transfer the gain into other assets??? Well if not and if you read this, you should think about that for a moment......

As for the index, we added $FTM and did a rebalancing to DCA into the new structure for the end of the month.
